Role
My role as the Commercial Manager was to manage and procure new sponsors for the annual Design Indaba event & conference. I retained and grew prominent blue chip sponsor agreements such as Woolworths, Coca Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Chivas Regal, Nedbank and Nandos. New and standing sponsors were offered 'special project' packages sold as separate leveraged opportunities that served as added value in and around the event & conference. Packages ranged between R500k- 2M.
The Design Indaba is an annual Conference & Event to showcase young talent, aspiring designers and give industry global leaders a platform to discuss key trends and innovations in design.
